Meet Kara Smith

Kara Smith, MSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LinqCare Inc. All services are made available through the Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Practice’s online telehealth platform.

Kara is an LCSW with a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles (CSU), with an emphasis on aging and families. 

She has a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals across the lifespan in the following areas: Chronic Mental Illness, Suicide Assessment and Risk Reduction, Trauma and Abuse, Group Psychotherapy, Complicated Grief Reactions, Parent-Child Conflict, Depression, and Anxiety Disorders.

Kara derives much of her treatment approach from Feminist and Humanistic Therapies. She is particularly interested in utilizing practical interventions to support caregivers and their mental health. She is also passionate about improving the mental health and well-being of children.

At LinqCare Inc., Kara provides accessibility and affordability to those needing superior mental and behavioral health care. The online telehealth platform allows patients to access care without needing to leave their homes or office.
